In the socio-economic context of Bangladesh, there is no alternative to developing a skilled healthcare workforce to ensure healthcare services reach the grassroots level. One of the fundamental expectations of the people from the state is access to quality healthcare. Ensuring healthcare services is crucial in the fight against poverty. Recognizing this necessity, the government has formulated a National Health Policy based on the constitution and international declarations, aiming to establish healthcare as a fundamental right for all.
To extend healthcare services to the masses, the government has set up numerous community clinics, union health and family welfare centers, and upazila health complexes alongside hospitals. However, despite these efforts, the government has yet to fully achieve its target due to a shortage of adequately trained and competent healthcare professionals.
Therefore, for the sustainable development of the healthcare sector, a long-term strategic plan for health-related courses is essential alongside medical education. This will help cultivate a skilled workforce capable of delivering high-quality healthcare services. Amjad Khan Chowdhury Nursing College has been relentlessly working toward this goal since its inception.
Our institution boasts a modern, self-owned building and an internationally standard digital college campus, providing both theoretical and practical education. In addition to academic courses, students are continuously updated on healthcare advancements through seminars, conferences, and workshops.
Best wishes to the team of this institution, may almighty bless you all.
